My dear friend, Manny Luna, passed away today. Nobody ever fought harder against cancer than Manny. I served in the Bishopric with him many years ago. What a gentle soul. I tried to visit him often and will always cherish those visits. On one of those occasions, I left thinking, "wow, people pay good money for a motivational speaker and I just have to walk up the street." When I was set apart in my latest calling, there was just one I needed there. As sick as he was, Manny came and stood in that circle.
As you all know, we adopted Jennifer recently. She was obviously excited to join us!
We took her to her "pretend" hometown. She loved it so much, that we helped her get a cell phone with the 424 area code. Yep, Malibu and Beverly Hills.
She visited her "pretend" high school as well. It's all about the 424.
In what seemed like just a few days, our parenting responsibilities ended. They sure grow up fast.
Then we took her to the airport and sent her off to college.
Total rockin' Cousins Club at the Rose Parade. So sad not all cousins chose to be there. Met the fiance. It was a party!
We were all pretty happy one cousin didn't show. If she'd gotten a hold of the wizard's scissors, there's no telling what else of Adrie's she would have ruined.
