Just a few offramps from our house is Pacoima, hometown of Ritchie Valens. I have worked many ball games at this park. Valens, Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper died in a plane crash 50 years ago today.

What's the Big Boppers name? Losing Buddy Holly was tragic. Not that it was any less tragic for the others. I really enjoy BH music. I rate it right up there with the greats like Babs and Diana.
I also liked that new fellow who played at the SB, Bryce Swingsteed?
