Copy Editing

Working as copy editors, my office neighbor and I spent all day making sure all things were spelled correctly. When one "controlling" person decided we needed a magnetic board for attendance, we protested. But the best part was when she put together the individual magnets and Erik Garcia became forever known as Garica. She never figured out why we called Erik "Garica," but I made sure I took his nameplate and magnet the day he was laid off in August. I had breakfast with Garica this morning and returned these treasures to him.
